My Girls

Here is a snapshot of the girls as we begin a new school year.

ABBY JANE
8 years old
Abby is really enjoying 3rd grade. She and Kate get to line up at the same door, which is really fun for them. Abby loves to draw. She is very creative, especially in her artwork. She especially loves to draw animals. Goals for the year include, starting piano lessons, and Achievement Days. She wants to also continuing dance and gymnastics and to get her back handspring.



KATHRYN LAUREN
6 years old
Kate is enjoying Kindergarten. The first day was a little bit hard. Kate loves her mama! We have a lot of fun together and I really count on her to help me. She always tells me that she loves to be near me, which makes me feel great! They don't let Mom's stay at Kindergarten though. We are both glad she is only gone for 2 1/2 hours. It is the perfect amount of time. Her homework includes picking an outfit to go with the Kindergarten color of the day! AWESOME!!! Goals for the year include, Kindermusik, dance, improving in gymnastics and flexibility and having lots of play dates! Oh, and learn to ride a bike.
If you ever can't find Kate....she is usually in the garage "practicing"!


ELLA ELIZABETH
3 1/2 Years Old
Ella is so excited for Preschool, but doesn't start until after Labor Day. She loves life. She loves walking the big kids to school and getting a ride on Lucy's stroller on the way back up the hill. She loves music. She enjoys dancing and is very flexible. She loves to sing made up songs, especially about the temple and marriage. She is happy and very outgoing. Wherever we go, she makes a new friend. Goals for the year include, first year of Preschool, Waterford, kindermusik class, and dance.

LUCY GRACE
6 Months Old
Lucy is a joy. She wakes up smiling and goes to bed with little fuss. She travels well and really makes the best of any situation. She LOVES her sisters. She watches
them dance and loves to be swung.
She is so loved!!!


I love my girls! They are similar, yet so different. I love each one of them for different reasons. I am so honored to be their Mom!

Growing Up

My Ella is growing up. Today we were getting ready for Stake Conference. I laid out her favorite pink dress. She refused to wear it because it has flowers on it, and looks like a fairy dress. Next, she refused her cream dress, because it is too puffy! What is happening to my princess?

Swim Party at The Whitney's

Today we had a neighborhood swim party
at the Whitney's house to celebrate all of the
kids who are starting kindergarten this year.

9 kids from our ward starting Kindergarten.
98 total kids in our Primary. So much fun!

Abby got out of school eary, 1:25, so we had time to
celebrate the first day of school.

I took the girls to get gel/glitter nails.

and Mrs. Dolling. This is their 10th year of teaching together.

Hit it....her first dance pose at 2 days old!
Kate has always loved to dance.

Kate has always had a calm sweetness about her.
As a baby she was so peaceful looking around.
The only time she would cry was when I would try to put her to bed.
She would cry and cry until I would give up and place her in her bed, still crying.
Immediately she would stop.
She didn't want to cuddle, and was so independent as a new baby.
She was so easy to put to bed.Abby has always been a great big sister to Kate....
entertaining her and reading to her when she was just 5 days old.

Abby and Kate are 2 years and 3 months apart.

Kate always loved to do V legs as a baby.
She was already working on her splits!

So quiet, so calm.

Kate has always had a lot of hair,
but we didn't know she had curly hair until
she was 18 months old....shocking!

We are so lucky to have Kate in our lives.

Tomorrow, Kate will start Kindergarten.
It has been so much fun to have her home with me for the past 6 years.
Here are some of the qualities we love and admire about Kate.

She is very helpful, vacuuming, mopping, doing dishes....a lot of times without even being asked. She is happy. She has a fun sense of humor and loves to laugh. She loves to make things nice. She is often found straightening the pillows on the couch or adjusting the skirt on her bed. She is positive, "Oh sure, I can do that" are words she often will speak. She loves babies and especially loves playing with Lucy. She loves to cook and bake in the kitchen. She loves to dance, to sing and to perform. Her favorite place she has ever been was to Hawaii. She is most excited for projects at school.
We love you Kate! We are so glad you are apart of our family!

Happy 6th Birthday Kate

Princess Kathryn turns 6!

For Kate's Birthday we threw her a SURPRISE party at Flip's Gym,
and invited 25 friends from the neighborhood.
The kids hid in the tumble bugs, and in the gym.
They all jumped out and yelled, "SURPRISE!"

She was VERY surprised and not quite sure what to do!

It didn't take long to jump right in and have fun!

Kate was so lucky to have her favorite person in the world, Ms Mo, host this party!
If you ask Kate what she wants to be when she grows up,
she says, "A Mom and a dance teacher, and be just like Ms. Mo."
Kate is lucky to have such a wonderful role model in her life!
