Lucy is such a good baby! We feel so blessed to have her in our family. She brings so much joy and happiness. We spend 6-7 hours at Flip's Gym each week at lesson's for Abby, Kate and Ella. It must be rubbing off on Lucy....because tonight she
did front flip's on the couch and was lovin' it!

Ella

Ella LOVES to get stamps at dance class.
She and Kate LOVE to play dance class.

Yesterday, Kate was at school and Ella was frustrated.
She needed someone to play with and to give stamps to.
She needed hands.
She decided to make hands! Problem solved!Ella LOVES Rapunzel!
"Great, now I'm the mean guy" is one of her favorites to repeat.
We love this purple princess, and her obsession.

Mary Poppins

Friday night was Smedley Sister's Girl's Night Out. We went to see Mary Poppins at Capitol Theater. We had seats on the second row! AMAZING! At the end when Mary Poppins rises up into the sky, I could have pulled off her boot. It was so fun to sit so close.

Abby and I went to New York 2 year ago and saw Mary Poppins in NYC. We bought the CD 2 years ago, so when we saw it last night, I felt like I knew every note in the music! I LOVED it! Very fun night!

Derrick Family Weekend

The Huffman's flew up from Scottsdale for 3 days
to celebrate Emme's 8th Birthday. We had a Birthday party for her
at the Lion House and she was baptized today.
We are so happy we could be apart of it all.

Rapunzel

Our girls are very creative.
They LOVE to make up plays and tickets
and invite me to all of their shows.
Last night was Rapunzel, on the bunk beds.
Even Lucy had a starring role as the baby Rapunzel,
taken from the tower....aka the bunk beds.

Mommy Allo

James and his Grandmother, Mommy Allo.

We were able to spend some time with
Mommy Allo, this weekend.
She wanted to take us through her house,
and tell us stories from a life filled with service.

Pappy and Mommy Allo served as Mission Presidents
in England and Ireland.
Pappy was Temple President over the Seattle Temple and
later called to the Second Quorum of the 70, as a General Authority.

Pappy's office.
I have so many memories of Pappy sitting in this chair.
He passed away in December 2009.
Our first apartment.
We lived with Pappy and Mommy Allo for 2 years,
from 1999-2001, while J and I were both finishing college.
The amazing view from our bedroom window when we lived with
Pappy and Mommy Allo.
They have the best view of Salt Lake City.
Mommy Allo is amazing at age 94.
I love that Lucy smiled BIG for this picture!
I wanted to take lots of pictures of Northpoint,
so that we can remember the memories
with Pappy and Mommy Allo.
We love you Mommy Allo & Pappy!

Derrick Family Theme 2011-2012

My good friend Erika gave me the idea of having a family theme
for the year. I love it. We decided our family theme for the year will be "Put On The Whole Armor of God". We had a fun FHE. The kids took turns dressing up in the armor. We threw ping pong balls representing bad situations and obstacles that might come our way in life. The kids LOVED shielding themselves
from the balls!

Favorite stages.

We love her "talking."
She loves blueberries...in waffles, muffins or plain.
She loves to ride in the stroller and to be outside.
She will go to anybody. Very friendly.
She is already wanting to crawl.
She loves toys.
Still has a toothless grin...no teeth yet.
Happy, peaceful, content and 100% sweet!
