U of U Dance Competition 2012

University of Utah

Hunstman Center

SOLOS
This was the first year Abby, Kate and Ella each competed in solos.
They have each been taking private lessons, and practicing so hard
for their dances. They were so excited and so brave to dance at the
huge Hunstsman Center all by themselves! They did GREAT!!!
We are so proud of each one of them!

ABBY'S SOLO
Age 8

KATE'S SOLO

Kate competed in the Mini Division and got 3rd place Gold.
Way to go Katers!

ELLA'S SOLO

Our favorite dance teacher....Ms. Mo!

Ella competed in the Tiny Jazz category and she got 2nd Place Gold. Way to go Ella!
Ella also got the judges favorite award for Courage and Bravery.

Grandma Janet and Aunt Amy came to watch the girls!

Aunt Ashley, Lydia (1 Month old) and Aunt Amanda surprised
the girls and came to cheer
them on!

Grammy made it to team competition and
brought the girls flowers.

Warmer days, playing outside, bike rides, and lots of smiles!!!

The best part of all...Lucy loving her big red car!

The saddest part of all, Lucy falling out of the big red car
and getting her first skinned up knee. :(

girls in their solo dance costumes.
The girls were able to help choose their dance costumes and songs.
It is so fun to see each of their personalities come alive through dance!

Skiing at Brighton

We picked the perfect day to hit the slopes.
The kids didn't have school on Monday.
Sunday into Monday Brighton Ski Resort
got 25 new inches of fresh snow.
The next morning we were there...ready to ski! :)

This was Ella's first time skiing,
and she loved it!
"Pizza...french fries!"

The Evershed's have a great cabin right in the middle of the resort.
It was a perfect location and fun to have a warm place to be.

I Love To See The Temple

We are so lucky and so blessed to live so close to the temple. It is exactly .5 miles from our front door to the temple grounds. This springlike weather left Ella, Lucy and I en route to our favorite spot....the temple steps. I am always so impressed with the powerful spirit I feel on the temple grounds. I know my girls feel it too and that makes me so happy!

St. Patty's, Bakers Move and March Madness

Always a reason to party....

Kate brought home this plant from Kindergarten,
and it is growing an inch a day.
By June we will have a full size tree to plant in our yard!

We helped the Bakers clean and move into their new house this weekend,
which is conveniently 2 blocks away from our house!
We are so happy to be neighbors again! :)

James always has us fill out March Madness brackets.
He gives prizes for first place (Kate) down through sixth place (me),
each Sunday while the rounds are going on.
The kids were so happy to get Diary of the Whimpy Kid books,
DVD and journals! Dad of the year! :)
