Thanksgiving 2016

  We had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

It was a Smedley year. We had dinner and went swimming

at Grandpa & Grandmas. We also went to see Moana.

Super relaxing day.

 On Friday we went Black Friday Shopping.

James and I had a date night

and we decorated our Christmas trees.

This is our first year with 2 Christmas trees.

We put one in the living room

and another one in the family room with all of the kid ornaments.

I love having two trees.

We made a gingerbread house....a favorite tradition. 

Sophia turned 1 and we had a fun ONEderland Birthday party for her.

Cute cousins.  

On Saturday the girls had a piano recital

at the Care Center. It was such a great way to get

to get in the spirit of Christmas and bringing cheer.

 We had a big snowstorm the last day of Thanksgiving Break.

Fun to sled and play in the snow.

 Kids decided to get in swim suits and take a bath.....together....

Love this time of year! So grateful for our family!

The Lucy Trip

THE LUCY TRIP

Scottsdale, Arizona

We have been looking forward to The Lucy Trip

for a LONG time.

 We flew to Arizona and could see the Grand Canyon.  

DAY 1

We spent our first day at the Phoenix Zoo.

Lucy was so excited to ride a camel. So brave!

That night we went to Ling & Louies and

then went to the hotel and enjoyed the water.

We stayed at the Hyatt in Scottsdale.

There were 10 swimming pools and this awesome hot tub!

Lucy & I watched a movie together

and cuddled until she feel asleep. 

DAY 2

James had to give a work presentation,

so Lucy and I headed out on a Mommy Daughter date.

Butterfly World

We started our  morning at Butterfly World. 

This butterfly liked Lucy's bow and landed on her head :).

Hundreds of butterflies.

We also watched a cool 3D movies on Monarch Butterflies.

The highlight of the day was American Girl.

So. Much. Fun.

We had lunch together and 

Lucy got to pick out her first doll.

She choose Julie! She looks just like Lucy.

This is such a fun tradition!

Loved watching Lucy make this big decision.

In the afternoon we headed to the pool.

They had a really fun sandy beach and sand pool

that Lucy loved. James and I got to chill. So relaxing.

That night we went to the Train Park with RJ

and to dinner at The Huffman's.

Loved seeing our Arizona cousins.

I always love getting to spend time with this guy!

 DAY 3

Our hotel had complimentary bikes to ride.

Lucy and I went on a beautiful bike ride together.

We spent the rest of the day at the pool.

SO RELAXING!!

We packed our bags.

Sad to leave this beautiful hotel.

We made one last stop

in Old Town Scottsdale.

We ate at The Sugar Bowl.

We had such a fun time on The Lucy Trip.

Lucy is such a joy and a light in our lives.

Lulu is a fun, happy, smart, beautiful girl.

We loved having this time with her.

It was fun to come home

to these wonderful sisters and dolls :-).

American Girl

It's official!  All 4 girls are apart of the American Girl Doll club.

Each of the girls got their dolls around their 6th Birthday on a special trip.

Abby - 2009 New York got Kit

Kate - 2011 Los Angelos got Kanani

Ella - 2014 Washington DC Just Like Me Doll

Lucy -  2016 Arizona got Julie

I love this tradition and love these beautiful girls!

Jay Leno

 James & I had the opportunity to go

hear Jay Leno at the new Eccles Theatre.

We had such a great time! Love this handsome date!

Such a beautiful new theatre.

Abby - YW Medallion

We are so proud of Abby for finishing her Personal Progress

and for earning her YW Medallion.

She has worked really hard and accomplished

it so diligently and quickly. What an amazing 13

year old girl she is!

 To celebrate we went to The Garden and

had dinner as a family honoring Abby.

I love this picture with Abby and the temple.

She is on the right path and making so many good decisions.

 We are grateful that Abby is such a great example to her sisters.

We are so glad that Abby is apart of

our family!

Henry & Lucy

 It has been so much fun to see Lucy & Henry become such

great friends. He comes to our house almost everyday.

 They love to play outside....tetherball.....bikes.

Henry & Graham like to shoot arrows at Lucy and she likes to catch them.

Henry told me that he wants to marry Lucy.

I told him that I think that would be great!
