RS Birthday

Our wonderful ward...

We have a wonderful ward!!! I enjoy my calling as counselor in the RS Presidency, and enjoy planning activities for the sisters in our ward. I LOVE the sisters in our ward. Each sister has so much to give. Tonight we did a Gift of Love night. Our former Bishop, Bishop Mayfield spoke on gifts of love. There were 170 sisters in our ward and 55 sisters came tonight. Everyone brought a gift to exchange, that represented one of their loves. I took a luggage tag....representing that I love to travel. I received the best ever homemade candle from Kim. It smells so good. It was fun to learn about each other as we exchanged gifts. It is fun to be surrounded by such amazing women.

Swan Lake

Kate is a very graceful ballerina. She is very excited about her upcoming part in Swan Lake. She had her dance pictures taken last week. She looked beautiful.

FHE

I have been so happy to see and hear the testimonies of our girls grow and expand.
Last week, Kate gave a talk in Primary about The Resurrection. She wrote the whole thing herself, and gave a wonderful talk. She was even brave enough to speak in the microphone! This coming week, Abby is going to be giving a talk about prophets in Primary. So tonight Abby prepared and gave the lesson about prophets in preparation for her upcoming talk. She was prepared with a game and an activity, and got all of us involved. She is very creative!

Kate was in charge of the FHE treat. She spent a lot of time making temple cookies. She even had the idea to use gold frosting for the Angel Moroni.

Haircut for Daisy

The girls have been looking forward to this day for a long time.
They wanted to go with Grammy to get Daisy, the dog's, haircut.
With treats in hand, and creative stadium seating (in a shopping cart), the girls enjoyed seeing Daisy get her haircut and spending time with Grammy.

When we got home, it wasn't long before I found Ella and Kate taking turns pretending to be the dog, and getting and giving doggie haircuts to each other.

Hair Salon

Hair time...

This week has been a week of hair. I took the girls with me to my hair appointment. I had my girl cut my hair, as well as Abby, Kate and Ella's hair. They had fun going to such a fancy place. As a result, the girls have been playing hair salon all week long. Kate wets her dolls hair and even turns on and off the bathroom fan to dry her dolls hair.

Permission to Sleep

There is nothing as sweet as a sleeping child.
Ella still naps on most days. Kate takes a nap 1 or 2 days a week.
Play hard and sleep hard.

Everyday at 1:00 when Ella goes down for her nap, Kate has quiet time. This week the kids didn't make it to 1:00. Around 12:30, after lunch they turned on Hannah Montanna.....very loudly. I walked upstairs to ask them to please turn their music down. I was very surprised to find them both fast asleep on the couch.....with the music blaring! Sweet sleepy heads!

Baths, Baths, and More Baths for Ella

Saturday night Kate was taking a bath in the girls bathroom. Ella was taking a bath in our bathroom, and Abby was taking a shower in our shower. All 3 girls were in separate places. Before we knew it, Ella was out of the tub and in the shower with Abby. When Abby finished. Ella dried off, and then ran to get in the other tub with Kate. If anyone is in a shower or a bath, Ella undresses and joins right in. 6 baths for Ella yesterday. 4 baths for Ella today. She should be the cleanest girl in the world!
