Hilton Cancun

For our 10 Year Anniversary, we wanted to go to a place that neither one of us had been before. Last year on our cruise, we stopped in Cozumel, and enjoyed the beautiful water. So this year we decided to head just a little further North, to Cancun. Our resort had several restaurants. This one was literally on the beach, right on the white sand. With the clear water and waves rolling it. It was a tropical paradise.

Cancun Schedule: Sleep in, play tennis, have breakfast, lay by the pool, have lunch, swim, lift weights and run, site see, dinner, movie....relax!

Each day the housekeepers left us a towels shapes into hearts, birds etc. with fresh flowers.
It always made me smile.

One afternoon we played water volleyball for a few hours. We had so much fun!

Cancun Hilton

Cancun is a beautiful place. We woke up to birds chirping and ate breakfast outside on the patio with an iguana laying on the cement wall in the sun. In fact, we saw several iguanas a day.

The hotel was breathtaking, sitting on a hill and shaped like a giant pyramid.

The resort we stayed at, had everything we could possible need.

There were 12 swimming pools at the resort. The largest of which was the size of 14 regular swimming pools. Our favorite was the eternity pool, which also was a pool bar. The water was warm and the white beach sand and waves were amazing.

We had tennis courts right outside our villa.
With the heat and the humidity, it didn't take long to feel the heat!

A new kind of Flat Bread

All week long, Kate and Abby have been complaining that the bread seems flat and not fluffy enough! This morning I walked in to find Ella standing on the loaf of bread,
using it as a step stool. Busted!

Orange Juice

Abby, Kate and Ella love to help in the kitchen, and I love the help. Last night we made pizza. Kate was proud of the sausage she cut. Ella helped with the dough. Abby did the sauce and the pepperoni. Everyone helped sprinkle cheese. I've found that when I make dinner they may or may not like it. But when they help make dinner, they always eat well!!! "This is SO yummy, " they will say. The girls rediscovered the orange juicer last night. Now they are into freshly squeezed. They have tried lemons, limes, grapefruit, and oranges. One of my favorite moments as a mother is seeing my kids work together and discover new things. I love their enthusiasm and their glow and....the orange juice is pretty good too.

A Good Night's Sleep

What does it take to get a good nights sleep?
Hugs? Kisses? A drink of water?
After a month of Ella waking up every night and refusing her crib....we have tried just about everything just to get a good nights sleep. The solution came when Abby was away at a sleepover. We let Ella sleep in Abby's bed and she slept all night, and she didn't get out of her bed once. When Abby came home from her sleep over....we decided to try putting Ella's crib mattress on the floor next to Abby. We decided to convert Ella's old bedroom into a toy room and to move her mattress under the bunk beds in the trundle.
The girls love it! All 3 girls together in 1 room.

Ella just wants to be big! No longer a baby.

Christmas Clutter

Yesterday was the day to take down all of the Christmas decorations. Being the oldest and helping the most, Abby felt picked on. "Why do we have to help so much around the house? After all, you get a Mother's Day and what do we get.....nothing. It's not like there is a Kid's Day or else I would help more." Famous last words!
