First Bug

Today, Kate and Ella were playing outside while I was in the den, just inside the house. All of the sudden the kids came rushing, pushing each other in the house and then they slamed the door. They hurried to bolt the door. I couldn't tell if they were excited, scared or both! Sure enough, it was both. They were trying to catch their first bug, and they did it!!! They caught their first bug!

Ella learned about bugs in Sunbeams last week. Her cute teachers gave each of the kids a bug collecting kit, with a net, tweezers, and a little breathable cage to keep the caught bugs in. All week Ella has been carrying the case around. Today the girls were brave enough to place the net over a flying bug, and make their first catch. I hope I never forget those happy shrills!
