Winter or Spring?
To celebrate this holiday, we had a fun groundhog dinner last night,complete with groundhog burgers. Yum! :)
We set half of the table in white with snow and a winter theme.
The other half of the table we decorated yellow representing the sun and warmth and Spring.
We all placed our guesses on whether the groundhog would see his shadow.
For dessert, the Winter end of the table had chocolate and the Spring side table had popsicles.
In the center of the table....our groundhog in his hole!
Kate and Abby sat on the Spring side of the table with their bubbles,pinwheels, and sunglasses.
We made these cute little groundhogs with popsicles sticks and paper cupsthat slide in and out of the hole.
We completed the celebration this morning by watchingthe groundhog see his shadow on TV.
6 more weeks of Winter
Our Groundhog Breakfast included:
Sunny side eggs (since the sun and shadow were seen)
Homemade Groundhog Applesauce
Groundhog heart Muffins (candy hearts baked inside blueberry muffins)
AND
Hot Chocolate for Ella and Colby who sat on the Winter side of the table
and Cold Chocolate milk for Kate and Abby who sat on the Spring side.
