Thursdays

Every Thursday I volunteer at the school for 3 hours. 

LUCY

 I spend the first hour in Lucy's class.  I correct homework folders and

help with Centers.  This week we made these colorful bugs out of corn syrup and food coloring.

ELLA

I spend an hour with the 3rd Graders reading with the kids individually.

I time the kids for 1 minute to see how fast they read.

Ella can read up to 330 words per minute.  She usually reads about 225 words per minute.

She is amazing.

KATE

I spend the last hour in Kate's class with the 5th graders.  

Every week we work on math.

I love my Thursday mornings and getting to volunteer in all 3 classes each week.
