The Nutcracker

One of our favorite Christmas stories is The Nutcracker.
On occasion, J tells the story to the girls at night when it's his turn to put them to bed. With 4 sisters who danced in The Nutcracker year after year, J has the story memorized in great detail. I was surprised at how well Abby and Kate knew the story. The Russian Dancers really made the girls laugh. Abby leaned over to me and said, "I know why Daddy likes the Russian Dancers so much.....because it is the only one with just boys." I thought it was observant and cute. Abby's favorite part was "the mouse and the mouse dying." He was a silly mouse. Kate's favorite parts were "all the princesses and the cute little kids that ran out from under the big lady's dress."
