Halloween

Halloween was really fun this year! The best year yet! It helped that the girls loved their costumes, since they got to wear them almost everyday for a week!
Abby was a Witch, Kate was a Fairy, and Ella was Fancy Nancy.

They dressed up for their dance classes, the school parade, Tami's Retirement Center Trick or Treat, Grammy's Halloween Party, Grandpa's Birthday Halloween Party, and finally for Trick or Treating around the neighborhood! So much fun!

When we bought our house, we had no idea how many kids there would be in our neighborhood! It is so much fun! Halloween was especially fun, even in the rain! We had over 75 trick or treaters, and found out we have an incredible neighborhood for trick or treating. After we braved the rain and went out for an hour, we set up the front door web cam and waited for trick or treaters. We watched movies, built a fire and had treats! It was so much fun to see how excited the girls were to answer the door and pass out candy! I think they enjoyed it even more than trick or treating this year~!

Tami's Trick or Treat

Tick or Treating with Tami!
Tami lives in the neatest Retirement Home. The kids love going to visit her. With complimentary popcorn, drinks, a playground and big rocking chairs on all of the porches, it feels like a hotel.
They had a trick or treat where all of Tami and her friends sat in a row and the kids walked around to each person and said, "Trick or Treat." We took John and Will, as well as our girls and had a great time!

Abby's School Parade and Party

The school costume parade is one of the best parts of Halloween!
This year I volunteered to be the head room parent for Abby's school class.
I get to help plan and attend all of the fun parties!
I love getting to spend time in Abby's classroom!
Abby helped me make our secret witches brew!
Aubrey, one of Abby's friends, was also a witch, and wore the same costume!
Tyler (the pillow), Gabe (the headless man) and Abby (the witch).
The most creative costumes ever!
Abby and her wonderful 2nd Grade Teacher, Mrs. Thompson.
Abby is loving 2nd Grade!

My Pet Pig

Black Cat
Abby comes home with so many fun art projects.
She loves 2nd Grade!
Here is a poem by Abby:

If I had a pet pig, I would name is Scwiggles. It would be a silly and a skinny pink pig. My pig and I would go swimming, and go to a movie. Together we could swing on the hammock. It would be fun to have a pig for a pet because I could ride around the yard.

Halloween Dance

Ella, aka Fancy Nancy, at her gymnastics class.
Ella and Miss Mo on the giant pumpkin.
This week the girls wore their Halloween costumes to dance. Miss Mo had them each help make witches brew. Kate came home with a cool frog, Ella a fun bag, and Abby all sorts of candy and Halloween surprises. She always goes all out and the kids love it!

Pack's Pumpkin Patch

The Pumpkin Patch
It is become one of our favorite tradition to go to the pumpkin patch each year, to get our pumpkins! This year, Abby wanted a BIG pumkin, Kate, a medium pumpkin, and Ella, a baby pumpkin. We decided to get 5, so we could all carve our own!
Once again, the weather was perfect!
I love this Fall weather. Cool, crisp and perfectl!

Carving Pumpkins

The punkin's carving pumpkin's!

Tonight was another perfect Fall night!
Abby wanted to make chili! So we did! We made a big pot, as well as homemade bread!
After dinner we carved pumpkins as a family!
Abby created a two headed pumpkin, being the Harry Potter Fan that she is!
Kate followed a pattern, to create a cool cat!
Ella colored a baby pumpkin black! As you can see by the color of her hands,
she had a lot of fun and got really into it!
She also helped carve a very HAPPY pumpkin (in the background)!

Mueller Park

This week has been beautiful! We decided to pack a picnic dinner and enjoy Mueller Park Canyon. It is my favorite canyon, this time of year! The leaves on the trees are so vibrant and beautiful. The mouth of the canyon is exactly 1.5 miles from our front porch, so on the way home, Abby, Kate and I walked part of the way! I loved it!!! J always teases me because I LOVE the mountains SO much! I do! There is nothing like being in the mountains!
I am a Mountain Mama!
