We got to go on the Jazz floor and give high fives to

all of the Jazz players as they came back on the court from

half time.  The players were really nice this year!!

Christmas Chocolates

 A Derrick Family tradition is to make homemade
chocolate mints for all of the neighbors for Christmas.

This was our BEST batch ever!!

  The girls watched The Polar Express.

They printed tickets and dressed in costumes.

It was a great way to spend Thanksgiving Eve.

We had a great time at the Jazz Game.  Papa J

had enough tickets, that the Stevenson's, and Dehner's

could come with us too.  The Mecham's, Dan & Ash,

and Bruce & Trish and family were also there.

It was a party being surrounded by 

so many people we knew....

and so fun that the Jazz won!  

 Lulu is a great fan!! She was yelling, "Go Jazz"
even before we entered the arena.

It was a loud game....with lots of noise.

We had a lot of fun!

Letters To Santa

David G. Derrick, Jr - Author

 Today David Derrick came to Oak Hills Elementary, 

for a book signing. David is James's cousin. 

It is so fun to be related to an author!

David just published his third book.

He works for Dream works and worked on The Bee Movie,
Megamind, How To Tame Your Dragon, 

and Rise of The Guardians. 

He visited every classroom and read his books to all

of the students. We loved having him come to our school!

Thanksgiving Point ~ Farm

Enjoying the wonderful Fall weather.

   Lucy's favorite animal is a pink pig.

That is what inspired this visit to the farm.
There were two pink baby pigs to see.
Our favorite two year old was THRILLED!

 A perfect day for a pony-ride with Nutmeg.

 Lucy's first pony-ride all by herself, with Chief.

 The white horses had PINK tails.

That made the horse ride even more exciting!
I loved spending the afternoon having fun with these cuties.

Squirrels

Squirrels

Squirrels are small dwelling rodents that always amuse me during the Fall season.  One way squirrels amuse me is their brown tails twitch.  Squirrels tails looks cute in the trees to me.  Another way squirrels amuse me is by chacing others.  I have to laugh because they do it to see if they can cep up if they can they will like each other.  Squirrels amuse me all the time.  Do they amuse you?

We made a fancy brownie ice cream dessert and

topped it with a mini green Sequoia.

 We ate it in the car to make it more memorable!

Lucy's Haircut
