Moving

It has been a busy, and exciting two weeks of moving!

We had almost 2 weeks from when we got the keys, until we moved
to the new house. We cleaned everything, carpets, blinds, bathrooms, drawers.
We painted a bathroom, the garage, many closets, the pantry.
We put in new baseboards, pulled weeds and transferred many carloads.
We had the movers move the big stuff on the last of the moving days!
A huge thank you to everyone who helped us!!!
Thank you for helping us clean, paint, pull weeds,
move, and help with many projects and also for watching our girls!

The kids have been VERY patient keeping themselves entertained, with
only a few toys and portable DVD player!

I forgot how much work moving is!
I am NEVER moving again!!!

From Smalls To Alls

Abby recently advanced from the "Smalls" Class to the "Alls" Class with Ms MO.
Instead of dancing 1 hour a week, she now dances 2 hours on Mondays,
and 3 hours on Thursdays (1 1/2 hours of gymnastics and 1 1/2 hours of dance).
Ballet, jazz and gymnastics!
Abby is really flexible and is so fun to watch!
She is loving her new classes and loves Ms MO,
who is an incredible dancer and teacher!

Swimming Lessons

Today was the last day of swimming lessons!
Abby and Kate did awesome!
You have both done so well
and are super brave!!!

I am finding my life is on one big cycle!
Everyday we find ourselves at swimming lessons,
then the tub! We are on week 4 of this cycle!
The kids LOVE the water!
They love getting to swim everyday!

Moving

Today we closed on our both of our houses! We sold our house and bought our new house. It has been an exciting day, filled with a flood of emotions. We have loved our home on Woodland Hills. We have especially loved our ward! We have many friendships we cherish and love. We are excited for the journey ahead, and are glad we will still be close by!!!

Ella our swimming Mermaid

Ella LOVES to swim!!!
Ella has always been very independent and willing to try new things!
We bought her the best inter tube. It pulls her into the water a few inches, enough that she has to kick her legs to stay afloat. She giggles and swims across the pool. Now she is convinced that not only is she a princess, but she is a mermaid too!
Ella is brave enough to jump into the water,
and float to the top without any help!

Farmington Parade

Each year, Legacy Dance, is apart of the

Farmington Parade!

It is such a fun tradition, that we all
look forward to!

The kids love riding on the float and throwing candy!
This was Ella's first parade! Ella liked
"throwing candy and wearing pretty necklaces and fancy bows!"

Happy Birthday

It was a Happy Birthday!

I had the best Birthday!!!
32 feels great so far!

We decided to stay in Midway for the whole week,
so I woke up in Midway.
My Dad and sisters took me out for breakfast,
while my Mom watched the kids!
It was a lot of fun being with my Dad and Amy and Emily!
Spending time together talking and laughing,
was the best present you could have given!
Thank you!!!

J had a work golf event at Wasatch Golf Course in Midway, so I took the girls to lunch and shopping in Park City! J met up with us, and we shopped some more!!!
On the way back from Park City,
we picked up Chinese and had dinner and presents back at home!
Favorite Presents:
3 homemade bracelets from Abby that each say "MOM"
Roomba Vacuum, jewelry, perfume, clothes!
As well as lots of things for the new house!
Thank you everyone for making my Birthday so memorable and fun!
It was a perfect day! I loved every minute of it!

Zermatt Fun

Zermatt 2010

I love our family tradition of spending the 4th of July together as a Smedley Family.
It is one of our favorite weeks of the year!

Abby and John spent hours playing with Star Wars Legos.
They had SO much fun!
The kids loved building forts and hiding.
They play so well together.
Amy's suite had the coolest jetted bathtub!
All 5 kids loved bathing together.
Abby 7, John 6, Kate 4, Will 3, Ella 2!
We made cool zoo animal colored chalk.
The kids had fun using it....especially Ella!

What an artist!
Each year we follow similar traditions, as well as add new ones. This year we decided to create a Cousin Camp Olympics for the 5 little cousins to compete. The first event, was a race. Each of the kids got to run, while we timed them. They LOVED breaking through the finish line!

Fishing in Midway

We took the kids fishing in Midway.
(I wish I had a picture of my Mom hooking the worms onto the hooks!
All the grand kids thoughts Grandma was so brave!)
Ella enjoyed holding the pole and trying to catch fish!
She was great at reeling it in!

There were a lot of ducks, and ducklings that loved being fed!

Zermatt Goats

Each year we spend a week in midway over the 4th of July. We stay at Zermatt Resort, which is beautiful!!! We enjoy playing tennis, renting bikes, swimming, fishing, riding the carosel, minature golf and always have a nice time with the Smedley side of our family.

Up on the mountainside behind the resort, they have goats to add to the mountainside atmopshere. The kids LOVE feeding the goats. They talk about the goats all year long. Each year they get more and more brave!

ATV Fun

We had a wonderful week of fun! On Monday, my family rented ATV's and spent the day exploring the mountains! We began near Soilder Hollow and Cascade Springs!

It was beautiful, with views of Mt Timpangoes, Deer Creek and lot of streams and green trees.
We all loved it!!!

Celebrating 5 years in Bountiful

5 Years ago...

we sold our first house, on Braidhill Drive in Draper.

We lived there from November 2001 - July 2005.

Five years ago TODAY, July 1, 2005,
we moved into our Bountiful house on Woodland Hills.

We moved from Draper to Bountiful....a big move for us!
