Provo City Center Temple

We were able to go to the Open House for the
Provo City Center Temple.  I love the old Provo
Tabernacle.  I was able to perform there when I sang in
a BYU Choir in college.  It is so neat to see this
beautiful historic building
transformed into such a beautiful temple.

San Diego - Day 3

On our 3rd Day in San Diego we decided to rent bikes
for 4 hours, We rode up to Cabrillo to this
lighthouse and had a picnic.
Cabrillo Lighthouse
This was our AMAZING view for our picnic.
I loved the waves and watching for whales.

We also rode our bikes by this cemetary.
We were here on MLK day. It was a
humbling reminder of all the freedoms we enjoy.
I am so grateful to live in the United States.

After lunch we rode over to Harbor Island.
We rode along this bay.
It will be a favorite memory for a long time!!
You can see San Diego and the bridge.
It was such a fun bike ride.
We headed back to our hotel and relaxed in the hot tub
and sat by the pool.

I also enjoyed reading. (I finished the second book
of the Selection Series on our trip.)
We had an AMAZING dinner at the resturant at the Resort.
Clam Chowder, the best pork chops, and key lime pie!
I loved being with James! This was my favorite day!
We have so much fun together!

San Diego - Day 2

We decided to do a trolley tour so we could
enjoy all of San Diego.
We started the morning here.
My handsome soilder....
I guess that makes me the nurse.
We walked around the ships at Embarcadero and the
shops at Seaport Village.
James was excited to take me to Puesto.
We had the best tacos....EVER!!
After lunch we rode over to Coronado Island.
It was super windy on the trolley. James thought
I would drop my phone taking this picture.
This was our 4th time to San Diego together
and our 4th time renting a surrey.
It has become our tradition! I love Coronado Island!
We spent the late afternoon at the
amazing Mormon Battalion Visitors Center.
We ended the day with a yummy Mexican dinner
at Cafe Coyote in Old Town.
It was such a fun day together!

San Diego - Day 1

It takes a lot of planning to get away
with just the two of us...
We decided for our 16th Anniversary we wanted to
go somewhere warm with lots of sunshine.
We found this beautiful resort called Kona Kai.
We flew in Saturday morning.
We enjoyed lunch outside on the bay at the resort.
 After lunch we rented bikes.
We rode up some killer hills,
but enjoyed the view from the top.
You can see our hotel and Coronado Island in the distance.
We had the most amazing view for dinner.
We walked to this Resturant Bali Hai
on the other end of the island. We sat outside and
were surrounded by water.
So romantic and fun to be together.

January Festivities

Usually life slows down after the holidays, but we had
lots of reasons to continue the celebrations into the
new year.  We had a baby shower for Sophia
at The Farrs house.
Our girls adore Sophia.
We had the Mandarin and game night at our house
to celebrate Emily's Birthday.
The "Eye" Game
We have had a lot of family support at Abby's
baksetball games. We have loved having everyone around.

Lucy is Reading

Lucy is doing so well with her reading.  I
love listening to her do Waterford each day.

Jazz Suite

Every year my parents rent a Jazz Suite
and we watch the game and have dinner together.
This was our 11th year.
The Jazz Dancers stopped by our suite.
The kids were excited to see a "real" player.
Fun tradition.
This year was unique because they asked if our
kids would like to be National Anthem Buddies.
They gave our kids these fun shirts.
Our kids were honored to stand in front of the Jazz players
during the National Anthem.
It was such an honor for our kids and I hope
they will always remember tonight and how
blessed we are to live in America!

My dad and his 4 Sons in law.
It was such a fun night.  Thanks Dad & Mom!
