Day 2 - OMSI & Exploring Portland

Favorite Four ready to explore.
We started at the OMSI.  Our good friends
and neighbors were headed to Oregon too,
so we planned to meet up.
Brian & Catherine Hess & Family
Kate & Lizzy
It was a fun and interesting museum.

After lunch we headed to VOODOO Donuts.
  The famous VOODOO doll.

We were able to walk around the Portland Temple.
We enjoyed walking around the waterfront.
Portland has so many bidges.
We went to the Pittock Mansion & Washington Park
to get a great view of the city and it started hailing.
We decided to head back to the hotel to swim
and order pizza. Fun day in Portland.

Day 1 - Multnomah Falls

MULTNOMAH FALLS
We were so excited
to take our family to this beautiful place.

Mulnomah Falls is the Second longest waterfall
in the United States, second to Yosemite.
  My favorite four.
We walked up to the bridge to get a
better view of both the upper and lower falls.
I am so grateful that we could be all
together at this beautiful place.

Day 1 - Driving to Portland

All packed and ready to go.
We headed out Monday morning on our trip to Oregon.
We drove 5 hours and made our first stop
in Boise.  We had lunch near The Boise Temple.
Our next stop was in Pendleton, Oregon.
We drove along the Columbia River.
This is The Dalles. It is kind of a mini Panama Canal,
It was fun to see boats going through it.
The Columbia River runs between Oregon & Washington.
We thought this part of Washington looked like
Ireland.  It was so greeen and so pretty.
We could see Mt. Hood up in the distance as
we drove along the gorge.  It was
gorgeous!! It was the best part of the 11 1/2  hour drive.

Dance

Dance Dress Rehearsal
Kathryn's beautiful dance hair.
I didn't get a picture of her in her costume,
because she had ballet right before.
Ella's beautiful dance hair.
We had a hair and makeup night
for the dance moms.  I love learning how to do these
fancy hairstyles.  Doing their hair is the most challenging
part of being a dance mom. I love how they turned out.
Ella is a beautiful dancer.
I love Ella's costume this year.
Lucy is pretty in peachy pink.
Cuttest tiny tot dancers.

Millcreek Jr High Orientation

Really?!  How can Abby be headed to Jr. High.
When we moved to Bountiful 10 years ago,
we wanted to our kids to go to Millcreek.
It is one of the reasons we moved to this area.
Millcreek is an AMAZING school.
Somehow it just felt so far off and yet here we are....
Abby is most excited for Mr. King and band.
Mr. King has won numerous awards Nationally
for his ability to teach music. We are grateful
that Abby gets to have him as a teacher.
Abby has chosen to learn to play the trombone,
and will even have summer band.

Abby will be taking Art and 3-D Art for her other electives.
She will also take a couple of Honors classes.
You are beautiful Abby!
We are excited for this new chapter in your life.

Aladdin Cast Party

I was asked to help put together the Aladdin Cast Party
for the 150  kids in the play & the Directors.
We made these huge cards for the kids
to sign for Merlin & Holly.
A huge thank you to Desiree, Kris & Lisa
for coming to my house and cutting up fruit
and making fruit cups and veggie bags.
Diane ordered the pizzas and Cutlers Cookies.
We had the DVD of the kids play
for them to watch while they ate.
Holly made the autograph pictures,
and I ordered 150 of these pens for the  kids.
It was a fun and memorable day!
Thank you to everyone who
helped make this party a sucess.

Kate's Dance Solo

Kate is a beautiful dancer.
This is her 3rd year doing a dance solo.
This year she is dancing to
"When With My Life Begin" from Tangled.
Kate has really pushed herself in dance this year.
She has an aerial
and a double backhard spring in her dance.

Beautiful job Kate!
These are all of the 2015
Solo Legacy Dancers.
We are so proud of you!
