Sleeping Beauty

Ella has been so sleepy!
With all of the fun of the holidays, she gets so tired, but never wants to miss out!
She falls asleep within seconds of getting into the car on most days!
We call her our Sleeping Beauty!
Upon waking, she just smiles! She loves the name!

La Caille - Happy 11th Anniversary

For our 11th Wedding Anniversary, my romantic husband took me to La Caille.
Cavier, lobster, lamb, and creme brulee by candlelight!
The food and the atmosphere were perfect!
We had a perfect seat next to the fireplace.
Our wedding anniversary is one of my favorite days of the year! I love this time of year! I love that we got married in the winter! There is nothing more romantic than the snow, the lights, and being snuggled up by a fire!
La Caille had lights everywhere. The archway had lights galore, the gardens were filled with lights, and every tree up the long driveway had lights. I love this volcanic light structure with steam and colors and water! It was perfectly gorgeous!
For our anniversary,
I gave J a new titanium wedding band, and he gave me a new bedroom set!
A king sized bed is the perfect gift for a 32 week pregnant wife!
Thank you babe! It was another perfect anniversary!

Christmas Morning 2010

There is nothing like Christmas morning!
The kids were so excited to see that Santa Claus
had eaten their brownies, and left presents for them!

Abby was most excited about a Scooby Doo Wii Game,
and a remote control helicopter!
(Can you see it hovering?)

Kate really wanted this Julie American Girl mini doll and set of books,
as well as matching clothes for her and her doll!
She was also excited about this mini iron!
What a great helper, even on Christmas morning!
Ella was really excited about her new hats, purse, makeup (with pink makeup brushes),
and her new barbie microphone which plugs into her iPod, and gum!
She has been dancing nonstop!
Ella had a great idea to use her new snow shovel
to clean up all of the boxes and wrapping paper,
when we were through opening presents!
The pillow pets!
Christmas would not be complete this year without our new pillow pets.
Ella received the purple unicorn, Abby, the turtle and Kate, the blue dolphin!

I was so excited to surprise James with a set up ratched dumbbells,
each weighing 95 lbs!
When they were delieved earlier this week,
I had to wrap the boxes on the porch,
because each box weighed over 100 lbs!

James gave me, new perfume, and a new bed comforter set!

We loved all of the homemade cards, and presents from the girls!
It was a perfect, enjoyable Christmas morning!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is a fun filled night with the Smedley family.
We always enjoy a nice dinner and then Santa comes by for a visit, and to hear one last time what everyone wants for Christmas (wish lists change a lot in December)!
This year for the nativity, J was Joseph,
Ella was Mary, Kate was an angel, and Abby was a wise man.We always have a talent show. Abby played, "Jingle Bells" on her dulcimer.Kate played, "Daisy" on the music maker!
We sang Christmas songs, and enjoyed being together.
It is a tradition to get new PJ's on Christmas Eve. This year Grandma surprised the girls with matching pajamas for each of them and their dolls!

"Welcome Santa!"

They have also been making things for each other!
There is excitement in the air!

Neighborhood Christmas Party

On The 22nd Day of December, Christmas gave to me,
A Neighborhood Kids Christmas Auction Party!

The Hansen's hosted a fun neighborhood breakfast and toy auction.
They asked each child bring a gift to donate to the auction.
Then they gave each of the kids $10 in play money.
She had a real auctioneer come and the kids bought toys!
They loved it!

The kids also enjoyed playing games, including their favorite
"Don't Eat Pete!"
Abby bought a monkey and a Santa Hat, Kate a doll, Ella a
fishing game, and a Snow White dress!
What a fun Christmas party!

Day 21

On The 21st day of December, Christmas gave to me,
Christmas Candlelight dinner!

I had this great idea. A new tradition. I thought it would be fun to have a nice Christmas candlelight dinner in the dinning room. We have had our table for 3 years, and only use it when we have company. The kids had never eaten in the dinning room, until tonight! This was our first meal with just our family in the dinning room!

Since the table seats 8, each of the girls chose one doll to join us for this special occasion!
Abby and Kit dressed the same from head to toe,
crocs and all!

I have to admit that the dinner wasn 't exactly what I had envisioned!
It was a little chaotic, noisy and not as relaxing as a candlelight dinner could be!
Nevertheless, it was a fun memory! I hope to do it again!

Day 20

On the 20th Day of December, Christmas gave to me,
Christmas Vacation!!!

As a kid I remember sleeping in, playing in the snow, and lots of play dates!
Today we decided to do all three!
We slept in. We woke up to fresh snow. Each of the girls invited a friend over to play!
Olivia and Abigail
Claire and Kate
Adelaide and Ella
Dance off!
It was so cute to watch them play Just Dance on the Wii!
6 cute little girls!

Day 19

On The 19th Day of December,
Christmas gave to me, two Christmas narrators!

Yes, it is true. James and I were asked to be the two narrators
for the entire Sacrament Meeting Christmas Performance today.
We each took turns, back and forth,
while the choir sang their repertoire of Christmas music.
I will be 30 weeks pregnant on Tuesday!
Being pregnant at Christmas time, has given me a new appreciation for
Mary, and the 95 miles she had to travel
on the back of a donkey
to Bethlehem!
It made being a narrator, seem easy!!!

Bowling

We went bowling with The Baker's a couple of weeks ago!
Everyone had a great time!
The kids even got a few spares and strikes!
Way to go!

Day 18

On the 18th Day of December,
Christmas gave to me, a wonderful Christmas brunch with friends!!!

There is nothing like good friends! Good friends make everything more fun!

Day 17

On The 17th Day of December,
Christmas gave to me...3 dancing girls!

Ella wants to be just like Miss Mo, when she grows up!
Abby, Kate, and Ella had their final Christmas performance at Flip's.
We love to watch them dance!
Abby danced to "Hot Chocolate," from The Polar Express.
Kate danced to "Wiggly Christmas."

Ella dance to "Rudolf The Red Nosed Reindeer."
She was Prancer!!!
