TOYOTA SEQUOIA

We found the perfect car for us!
We have been looking at cars for a while and finally found
that the Sequoia is the perfect fit for us. We love Toyota's.
We had a Camry, then the 4runner and now the Sequoia.
My Mom watched the girls while we went car shopping.
They were so excited when we picked them up.
This is the car that will take us the next tens of thousands of miles of our lives.

MLK Weekend

We had a fun long weekend. The kids didn't have school

Friday or Monday,

so we had lots of time to have fun.

We did all of the usual stuff....
Kate wrote a couple of plays,
Lucy took her usual 3 baths a day (love this age),
and we stayed up late and slept in. :)

~THURSDAY~
On Thursday night, we went to see J play basketball.
He still LOVES to play 2-3 times a week.
I love watching him play!!!

~FRIDAY~
On Friday we drove to Provo and spent the day with Aunt Amy.
Lucy tried her first In N Out burger. She loved it!!!

~SATURDAY~
On Saturday, we went to see Beauty and The Beast with Aunt Amanda.
The beast is in our ward, so we were able to get the best seats on the second row.

On Saturday night we went bowling and to The Pizza Factory
with the Bakers.
Kate was an amazing bowler getting her first turkey,
3 strikes in a row!!!

~SUNDAY~

We finished our Home Alone series.
This week we watched Home Alone 1, 2 & 3.
The girls had never seen any of them so it was extra fun to watch them together.

~MONDAY~
On Monday we went to the Auto Expo. This is another one of our favorite traditions.
It is always fun to see all of the cool cars.
I am voting for a convertible!

Kate looked so cute in this tiny scion.
She is ALMOST big enough to see over the wheel!

Where is Lucy?

11 Months Old

"Where is Lucy?"
I say it and I think it 100 X a day!

There is a new feeling that comes when a baby becomes mobile.

I am constantly thinking, "Where is Lucy?"
Lucy is helping us to baby proof our house everyday by
showing us what she can now do!
Lucy can open up cupboards, both pantry's, drawers, doors, dishwashers,
closets and somehow find all of the good stuff.
She loves the "ball" on the Dyson.
She just can't figure out how to pick it up!
Lucy, we love you!

I've Got The Valentine Bug

We bought this cute little bug to spread Valentine Love around our house.

Abby "bugged" me with this cute poem and filled the lady bug up with awesome coupons, like, free diaper change, and free help with dinner! Each one had a picture! So sweet!
Thanks Abby! I love you too Awesome Abby!
Now it is my turn to "bug" someone.
Beware of the bug! :)

Let it Snow

LET IT SNOW...LET IT SNOW...LET IT SNOWWe were SO excited to wake up to a Winter Wonderland.
The kids were thrilled to bust out their new snow clothes.
J and I even went out to play and sled with the kids.
This was Lucy's first time playing in the snow.
She loved it, until...
Lucy and I crashed into a pine tree sledding in the back yard.
Let's just say....she got a mouthful of dirt!!!
There were a few tears, but I was soon forgiven!
There is nothing cutter than a patient baby
trying to crawl around in a snowsuit!

We were sick on Christmas, and less than 2 weeks later Kate,
Ella and Lucy were sick again.

We hosted our 2nd Annual Derrick Family New Years Eve party.
We had a house full of fun!
Hoop Shot, ping pong, movies, dinner, games, skits!
In 2012, there will be a total of 23 Derrick cousins!
