 Ella is our soccer girl!

 She loves to play and she is really good at it.

Ella's Birthday was the day after LOTOJA!

We stayed overnight at the Jackson Hole Lodge.

It was fun to be on vacation on Ella's Birthday.

Lucky Ella to have 3 sisters who love her. 

 We went out to breakfast at The Virginian in Jackson Hole.

 We stopped for Bear Lake Raspberry shakes
in Garden City.

It was beautiful driving home through Logan Canyon.

We made it home in time to open presents.

Ella's favorite presents were soccer clothes,

and little adorable panda bear.

 We made Ella a giant soccer 8!!

 We love you Ella! 8 is great!

We are so glad you are apart of our family!!

LOTOJA 2015 - RACE DAY

This was James 3rd year doing LOTOJA.

It is a 200 mile race through Utah, Idaho & Wyoming.

James is on Team Livewell. He started with

Alan & Brant. They ride well together,

Nikki did support for Brant and the girls and

I did support for James. Fun day together.

Starting Line 7:32

They had the latest starting time out of all 2,000 riders.

 We met James in Montpellier & Alpine.

It was such a hot day. 

A lot of people didn't finish this year. 

James did amazing! 

He finished strong at 9 hours 23 minutes.

James finished 6th place in his category and got his

name on the big sign at the finish line. His goal was to be

under 9 1/2 hours and he did it!! 

We had fun cheering him on at the finish line.

Jim & Karen came up to see James finish.

They also brought Ella & Lucy with them.

 It was fun to have our whole family at the finish line.

Such an accomplishment for James!!

So proud of this amazing husband of mine!

 We had dinner at The Snake River.

That night we had fun walking around Jackson Hole.
We slept over night at The Jackson Hole Lodge.

LOTOJA - NIGHT BEFORE THE RACE

 The night before LOTOJA we stayed

at Springhill Suites in Logan.

 It was a fun night. We walked around the start line

and watched James eat a whole pizza.

 James went over the plan of attack.

I always tease that the hardest thing he does is

LOTOJA and the hardest thing I do is LOTOJA support. 

Ella & Lucy got to sleep over at Grandma & Grandpa

Smedley's and sew and swim.

Abby & Kate came with us to LOTOJA.

Ella's Lion House 8th Birthday

It is a Derrick Family tradition to celebrate your 

8th Birthday at The Lion House. 

 Ella is the third cutie to get her Lion House Doll.

 We made Lion House taffy.

Played games are learned about Brigham Young.

We ate dinner.  The Birthday girl always

gets to take the first bite.

 We opened presents. 

 Yummy cake with one lucky gumball.

 We are so grateful to Papa J & Grammy for this fun tradition.
