January Joys

We are off to a great year.
I love getting back into a routine.
This picture captures one of my happy moments.
Kate playing the piano, and Lucy playing the ipad
on the couch.  I love to see my girls happy at home.
ABBY
Abby started another season of Jr. Jazz.  This time
James and Bryan are coaching.  It is a fun team.
Abby won 3rd place in her class Geography Bee.
She has been preparing for the school Geography Bee
coming up later this month. Great job Abby!
Abby & Kate have started early morning practices
for their school play, Aladdin.  They have to be
to school at 7:25 three days each week.
It has been a big adjustment for our whole
family to get them out the door that early. They love
it and they love to dance together.
 KATE
Kate is really enjoying the Wizard of Oz.
She is learning to play every song out of this book on the piano.
She gets really into it, and even practices with various masks.
We love our Kate. She makes a cute a scarecow!
The girls put on the play The Wizard of Oz
in the basement. Ella (wicked witch), Kate (Dorthy with ruby slippers)
Lucy (Glenda) and the bears were the lion, scarecrow & tin man.
Kate LOVES school and made this cool aquarium
as part of her homework.

Kate started learning her dance solo this week.
She really enjoys dance.
Kate and I planned a FHE lesson
on Numbers 21.  She made two poles,
one with a snake at the top and the other
with the Proclamation to The World.
ELLA
 Ella discovered her dream shoes....
these pink moccasins with sheep skin. Cute & Comfy!
Ella also loved playing primary songs on this keyboard.
She carries it around the house making music. I love it.
Ella had her baptism preview. I can't believe
this beautiful girl is going to be eight.
We are so proud of you Ella and the great
choices you are making.
  LUCY
Lucy is loving Preschool.  She made this cute
calendar and a fun snowflake this week.
Lucy and I have lots of fun together.
This week we had an indoor picnic in the
living room and watched the snow falling.
She thought is was so funny.
Lucy & I also snuck away for a Tuesday
movie to see see Big Hero 6.
We had a fun Mommy Daughter Date.
