Day 7 - The Long Drive Home

Packed and ready to head home.
It is a 14 hour drive from Newport, Oregon
to our home in Bountiful.
The night before we left Newport, we noticed we
had a nail in our front tire and the tire was completely bald.
With 37,000 miles on my car and the original tires still on
we decided to buy new tires in Oregon.
(Expensive souvenir).
The kids pretended to be upset,
but we had lunch and soon it felt like we
were on vacation again.
We drove 4 hours from Newport to Bend.
The last night we stayed in Bend, Oregon.
Our hotel was right on the river.
We had dinner at Bend Burger Company,
and walked around Main Street. Bend reminded us
a lot of Park City.  It is a ski town.
We watched March Madness and headed to bed.
The next morning was Easter.
We woke up to Easter Eggs all over our hotel room.
How did the Easter bunny find us in Oregon?
We spent Easter in the car
listening to Conference. James and I both
felt like it was a great way to get
to really listen to the talks....and
it made the time pass quickly.
12 Hours later we made it home.
The Easter Bunny had left Easter baskets at home!
It was a wonderful Spring Break!
Happy Easter!
